Preventative Medicine

Annual Check-ups at the age of 40 and after are recommended to help in the early detection and prevention of some medical conditions.

Family history of heart disease, diabetes or cancer would indicate the need for earlier assessment.

In your Annual Check-up, your doctor will perform a thorough physical examination and review of your medical history and make arrangements for any necessary investigations and referrals.

Your doctor will arrange for a follow-up appointment to tailor a management plan according to your individual needs.

When making an appointment, please ensure you request an Annual Check-up consultation to ensure sufficient time is allocated for your consultation. 

45-49 years Health Check 

This is a Medicare funded initiative to help identify chronic diseases early and the emphasis is on preventative healthcare for patients, and providing education to reduce risks. 
Nurses support your doctor in undertaking a comprehensive physical assessment. Your doctor will address any issues which are identified.
This assessment may only be completed once for eligible patients and requires a 40-minute consultation.
