Care of the Elderly

Over 75 Health Assessments are part of the Federal Government initiatives designed to promote and maintain good health as well as independence for older Australians.

This is a full comprehensive annual medical check covered by Medicare, so you will not incur an out-of-pocket expense.

The assessment usually takes an hour, and may be performed from the comfort of your own home, or in our consultation rooms by a nursing team member. The Health Assessment provides a detailed overall view of your general health and covers areas such as sight, hearing, diet, your current medications and your immunisations. 

Following the assessment, your doctor will discuss the outcome with you. All doctors consulting at GCMC are experienced in providing comprehensive medical care for elderly people.
